  Whether I’m buying shoes, makeup, skincare products, or bras, I’ve pretty much always experienced the folks at Nordstrom exceeding my expectations of customer service. They go above and beyond to help you find exactly what you are looking for and make sure you’re happy with it. Almost everyone I’ve come in contact with seems genuinely interested in wanting to please me as the customer, although every once in awhile there is one who gets obviously “salesy” with pushing the upsell or presenting products I’m clearly not looking for, which is a huuuuuge turn off for me. Overall, however, I find this far less likely to happen here than other stores, which is what keeps me coming back. I also love the openness of the store there is plenty of open space which is both more physically comfortable and aesthetically pleasing than other department stores. My most recent experience was buying shoes for my five-year-old. I shop here pretty much exclusively for kids’ shoes because they take the time to size children and ensure a proper fit, which seems to be a lost art these days! This visit my daughter fell in love with a pair of American Girl shoes and after gushing over them I allowed her to wear them out of the store. By the time we got home she had a sore spot on her foot where the zipper was rubbing so I went to take back the shoes the following day. The salesman remembered me and how much my daughter loved the shoes and knew she was heartbroken that I was returning them. He offered to put padding on the inside of the shoe where it was rubbing and said she could try them again and come back if she was still having the problem. The padding solved the issue and she got to keep her beloved shoes and I’m pretty sure that man is now her hero!
